My concepts generally start with collages and drawings. Here are some investigations into spatial manipulation. I won a NZ Best Award, and a Nanette Cameron scholarship prize for these ones!
Investigation architecture as a sonic prosthesis.
Mind's Eye is an ongoing full immersion spatial art show created by Rainbow Timothy incorporating animation by Ana Mouyis, Rainbow Timothy and Zachary Zezima.
This show investigates animation in a spatial context. Through layering multiple projections across staggered, suspended, translucent screens this piece invites the participant to explore the space and to become one with these violent, undulating lightscapes.
The animation is created using photoshop to deconstruct Tim's mixed media collages and then composited into jagged 3D vortex's using Aftereffects. These collage animations explore the dichotomy of the urban condition: The tension of forces created by Industry clashing with the earth.
